Lab Review

A Lab Review visit gives you unhurried time with a clinician to walk through your test results in language that makes sense-and to turn those numbers into meaningful next steps. Instead of a quick message saying "results are normal" or "follow up as needed," we review each key marker in the context of your history, medications, symptoms, and goals.

During this appointment, we screen for patterns that are easy to miss when labs are read in isolation: early metabolic changes, subtle thyroid shifts, nutrient deficiencies, inflammatory trends, kidney or liver stress, and cardiovascular risk indicators. As a board-certified adult/gerontology nurse practitioner, I bridge standard reference ranges with what we know about long-term risk and prevention, so you can see where there is room to improve-even if everything technically falls "in range."

We then discuss how these results connect to your daily choices and current treatment plan. Together, we identify whether lifestyle changes, anti-inflammatory nutrition, medication adjustments, additional tests, or imaging might be useful. When specialized care is needed, we outline which type of specialist is most appropriate and what questions to ask, so referrals feel purposeful rather than overwhelming.

You leave with a clear summary of your labs, an understanding of which markers we will want to trend over time, and a prioritized plan for what to do between now and your next check. Many patients pair lab review with integrative care planning or a chronic condition follow-up, creating a cohesive view of where their health is today and how to move it in the direction they want.
